Budgets

Per the Participation Agreement, the City is responsible for developing a Proposed Budget for the combined operations of the sewer system. The Proposed Budget must receive approval from the UVSD Board of Directors and the City Council. The City is also responsible for managing the budget; it is the paying and receiving agent for all District operation and maintenance funds. It therefore provides and receives the monthly billing to service recipients. Within the budget there are 3 “joint” funds, 2 City-only funds, and 3 District-only funds. The District Special Fund contains most of the District’s separate administrative functions.
