What we do

Within the Ukiah Valley there are three agencies that provide wastewater treatment services: (1) City of Ukiah (City); (2) Ukiah Valley Sanitation District (UVSD or District) and; (3) Calpella County Water District. The City owns the collection system within a portion of its jurisdictional boundaries and a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). The UVSD owns the collection system within its jurisdictional boundaries, a part of which is within the City’s boundaries, (known as the overlap area). The District contracts via a Participation Agreement to the City of Ukiah for use of the City owned Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) and for maintenance of its collection system. Calpella CWD owns its collection system and treatment plant.

The Ukiah Valley Sanitation District regular public meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning at 6:00 pm at the District’s Board Room, 151 Laws Ave. Ukiah, CA. Meetings are open to the public, and the District encourages public participation.. UVSD agendas are posted at the meeting location, the office of the District and on this website (see Agendas/Minutes button). The District’s Board Room is ADA accessible.
